Basic Saving bank account opening
Customers can open Basic Saving bank accounts at any BC Location of the Bank. In case the customer is having an Aadhaar Number, no KYC document is required for opening of the account. The account is opened through e-KYC service of UIDAI. For customers who do not have Aadhaar number, KYC documents like address proof and ID poof is required to open the account. Once the account is opened at BC location, in addition to services available at banks branches, customers can avail following services from J&K Bank BC Locations using biometric authentication.

Cash withdrawal service is available at BC locations of the Bank. Any customer can withdrawal money from BC location of the bank through his/her Debit/Rupay Card. J&K Bank BCs are equipped with a Micro ATMs (Pin Pad Devices) for accepting Debit/Rupay Cards of any Bank for providing cash withdrawal services to the customers.
The following basic banking services can be availed using Micro ATM:-

Customers of J&K bank or any other bank who have seeded their Aadhaar No. with their Bank Account number can avail AEPS services using Aadhaar authentication.
The four Aadhaar enabled basic types of banking services available are:-
- Balance Enquiry
- Cash Withdrawal
- Cash Deposit
- Aadhaar to Aadhaar Funds Transfer
The only inputs required for a customer to do a transaction under this scenario is:-
- Aadhaar Number
- Fingerprint captured during their enrollment
The e-KYC service is based on Aadhaar authentication of the resident/customer to prove his/her identity before opening an account in bank. The verification of the customer is done electronically by capturing his/her biometric and the same is being authenticated by UIDAI. The e-KYC service has been implemented by the bank so as to accept the e-KYC as an ‘officially valid document’ under PML rules.
Term Deposit accounts of type CCR, CCR (SC), FDR, RD, MYD can be opened at BC Location.
Electricity bill can be deposited through the bank’s BC.

Aadhaar Seeding can be done at BCs end by taking the finger print of the customer.
This includes issuance of Debit card, Temporary block Debit card and Permanent Block Debit card
Printing of passbook can be done by the BCs who have the passbook printing machine.
