World Plantation Day : J&K Bank conducts plantation drive
On the occasion of World Plantation Day, J&K Bank today carried out a plantation drive at Badamvaer (Srinagar), Shaheed Park (Pulwama) and Gulnaar Park (Baramulla) under its Eco-conservation initiative.
Lead by Presidents Tafazal Hussain, Abdul Rashid at a special drive in Badamvaer, Bank officials including Vice President Khursheed Ahmad Pandit, Zonal head Abdul Hamid Banday planted scores of trees across the park that has been restored of its glory and is being maintained by J&K Bank under its Heritage Preservation initiative.
Speaking on the occasion, JK Bank President Tafazal Hussain said, "Eco-preservation is an integral part of our heritage preservation programme. Under this programme we have already revived and restored many of the historical parks like Badamvaer, developed many and plan to establish many more at different places."
These parks, he said, not only help in eco-conservation but have emerged as socializing hubs and scenes of leisure and entertainment across the state.
Zonal Head (South) Mohammad Afzal khan and Zonal Head (North) along with other colleagues planted trees at Shaheed Park (Pulwama) and Gulnaar Par (Baramulla).
