On Milad eve, J&K Bank dedicates 2 new premises, ATM to Pulwama people
Coinciding with the revered days of Milad celebrations, J&K Bank dedicated two new state-of-the-art premises to the customers of its Awantipora and Pulwama business units today. While Dr Mehboob Baig, Member of Parliament, did the honours at Awantipora, Mohammed Afzal Bhat, District Development Commisioner, Pulwama inaugurated the business unit Pulwama's new premises in presence of Parvez Ahmad, Bank's President & Secretary. Besides, an ATM machine was also dedicated to public at Ratnipora.
Speaking to a well attended gathering of Bank officers and customers at Awantipora, Dr Mehboob Baig described J&K Bank as an anchor for the state's economic development. "In a state like J&K, emergence of J&K Bank as a premier institution of the state and the country is really an achievement of excellence", he said adding, success story of J&K Bank needs to be replicated in other institutions of the state including government departments.
He expressed his gratitude to the J&K Bank authorities for having invited him to do the honours. He also urged the unemployed youth of the area to take benefit of the State's Sher-i-Kashmir Employment Welfare Programme.
Earlier, after inaugurating the Bank's new look premises at Sana Complex, Pulwama, Mohammed Afzal Bhat, DDC Pulwama described J&K Bank's journey from a small bank to one of the premier financial institutions of the country as a milestone. "J&K Bank has made a mark in the Indian banking industry. Besides, it is not just a simple financial institution but partner of the state government in the development of the state", he said.
"Nobody can stop J&K Bank from achieving more and more heights but peoples' trust, that J&K Bank has managed to gain and consolidate over the years should always be given top priority", he added, adding "I feel proud in sharing with you that during one and a half year of my tenure as DDC Pulwama, I have not received even a single complaint about J&K Bank Pulwama".
Parvez Ahmed, Bank's President & Secretary in his address to people at both places stated that the Bank had taken a concious decision to inaugurate these world class services amid a blend of modern and traditional ambience in the ongoing holy days of Milad celebrations to reiterate Bank's commitment to its customers. "J&K Bank is a part of this society and shares its beliefs, values and festivities. And it is in this context that J&K Bank decided to dedicate to its customers around twelve new facilities during these twelve revered days of Rabi-ul-awal". Stating that a nation's or region's economic prosperity is directly proportional to the health of its financial institutions, Parvez said that J&K Bank's vision was to empower people and devop state's economy ‘which will in turn result in the growth and prosperity of the Bank'. "And it is these profits which are later shared with you by way of development of parks, preservation of heritage and prommotion of traditional arts, crafts and economies of the state", he added.
Emphasizing that J&K Bank was acting as a facilitator for the growth and development of the people of the state, Parvez Ahmad urged the people to cooperate with the Bank in its people friendly endeavours. "It is your Bank, it is your money. Take it and deploy it in productive activities to ensure growth of your business, employment generation and betterment of your lives", he stated, adding, "Bank has schemes for all the traditional and regional ecomies of the state of J&K. These schemes have been tailor-made to suit your comprehensive needs. But the only thing you need to do is to be responsible and ensure timely repayment of loans".
Parvez further insisted that the Bank was keen to bring South Kashmir at par with the rest of the state in terms of banking infrastructure and availability of world class services like anywhere banking, ATM facility, RTGS, NEFT etc.
Mohammed Afzal Khan, Bank's Vice-President & Zonal Head Kashmir South in his addresses urged the people to avail and take benefit from Bank's highly customized products and services. He also sought peoples' continued support to help J&K Bank improve peoples' lives by empowering them economically.
