JK Bank starts state-wide customer awareness campaign
J&K Bank is not just a financial institution - it is a hope, a dream of the people of the Jammu and Kashmir. The immense emotional attachment that people of the state have with this bank has been a major contributing factor in its uninterrupted growth and success. That is why J&K Bank's focus of all its plans and strategies.
This was stated by Parvez Ahmad, Bank's President & Secretary at a well attended customer meet held at Circuit House, Shopian on Thursday. It was the maiden interaction of the "state-wide customer awareness campaign" that the Bank has started to reach out to its customers to get the feedback with a view to futher improve its products and services.
Comparing the business strategy of the bank vis-avis with banks operating in the state, Parvez Ahmad stated that when focus of other banks in the state if majorly in mobilizing deposits, but focus of J&K Bank is on the development of the state and its people, which is also in correlation with the development of the bank. t is in this context that the bank has brought customized products and financial solution suiting the people of the state," he said.
Among others present on the occasion included Mohammed Afzal Khan, Bank's Vice-President & Zonal Head for Kashmir South, M.A.Soharwardy, Cluster Head, Shopian, representatives of traders, transporters and fruitgrowers, and other esteemed customers of the bank.
Maintaing that J&K Bank continued to abide by its philosophy of servant leadership, Parvez said that the Bank was moving forward with a spirit to serve this society by way of fruiful financial intervention. "This institution, with your support, is working on a multi-pronged strategy to bring in equitable socio-economic empowerment and change the economic landscape of the state of J&K", he said.
Appreciating peoples' commitment towards, and trust in, J&K Bank, Parvez reassured Bank's continuous people-friendly and J&K centric approach. "I must acknowledge and appreciate the strength of the bond between the J&K Bank and the people of the state. I remember the tremendous response we received from you for our maiden IPO. And, this happened despite the fact that people here had little, or to be precise no knowledge, of the shares and stockmarkets. The only thing that made you buy Bank's shares was your trust and confidence in the Bank. And, I firmly believe we have not let you down. The performance of Bank's shares is before you to see and judge", he said.
Besides, the Bank believes in sharing profits with the people of the geographies in which it operates and our CSR initiatives which have a far-reaching impact on our society bear ample attestation to our claims, he added.
He also urged the people of the district to avail the Bank's recently re-launched Apple Finance Scheme "to take maximum advantage of the product and rid themselves off the informal monetary channels and financial intermediaries".
Mohammed Afzal Khan, Zonal Head in his address emphasized that Bank was keenly observing and analysing the regional economic activities to devise highly customized products to meet the comprehensive credit requirements of the people associated with these activities.
"Apart from putting all branches of the district on Core Banking Solutions, we are working on a massive expansion plan of branch and ATM network", Khan informed the gathering.
The representatives of traders and fruit growers expressed their gratitude to J&K Bank for bringing in latest IT enabled services to the business units of the district. They also put forth many suggestions and greivances before the Bank management. The meeting culminated with the presentation of vote of thanks by M A Soharwardy.
The customers were assured that their suggestion and greviances will be looked into by the management of the bank.
