J&K Bank RSETI Kupwara, Rajouri conduct training programs
J&K Bank RSETI Kupwara commenced a skill development programme in 'Knitting', wherein 40 female candidates identified by the Institute during the entrepreneurship awareness camps conducted at Surgund, Potshai, Khumriyal and Hayyan villages of the district participated.
The programme is tailored for drop-out female candidates from schools who are not engaged in any other commercial activity.
District Development Commissioner Kupwara Sarmad Hafeez inaugurated the programme in presence of Cluster Head Kupwara Fayaz Ahmad Siddiqui, Lead District Manager, bank officials and representatives of other line departments.
Director RSETI gave a yearly overview of the activities of the institute.
He informed the gathering that during the last financial year, 397 female candidates were imparted skill training in Aari-staple, Chain-stitch, Tailoring and Fashion designing, Crewel Embroidery, Knitting and Tilla Doozi.
DRDA Kupwara sponsored 281 candidates, while as 116 trainees were identified by the Institute itself during awareness camps organised in different blocks of the district.
Speaking on the occasion, DDC Kupwara informed the gathering that he was very much delighted to know about various aspects and content of training programmes.
He appreciated the efforts of the institute for helping the trainees in personality development, raising their motivation levels and urging them to change their mind sets from wage employment to self-employment.
He directed District Rural Development Authorities, Handicrafts Department, District Industries Centre and other line departments to work in close coordination with the Institute in helping outgoing trainees in establishing their own business without difficulty.
He also directed handicrafts department and DRDA to take necessary steps in ensuring marketing of products of the trainees giving them much relief from forced distress sales.

RSETI Rajouri
J&K Bank RSETI Rajouri wrapped up its skill development programme on 'Cutting, Tailoring & Stitching', in which 20 women trainees from far flung area of district Rajouri participated.
The programme was sponsored by DRDA Rajouri.
Lead District Manager Arvind Kapoor was the Chief Guest at the valedictory function.
He assured the trainees of credit linkage and other advisory help from the Bank.
While speaking on the event he advised the trainees to avail the Differential Rate of Interest (DRI) loan which is hassle-free and on very nominal rate of interest..
