J&K Bank RSETI Kulgam concluded a 10-day skill enhancement training programme on ‘Chain Stitch/Crewel' for women. All the 27 participants of the 8th batch belonged to block D H Pora and Pahloo were sponsored by DRDA. In the valedictory function Cluster Head Kulgam Masood Chisti distributed the certificates among participants.
He said, "It is a matter of satisfaction that this institute imparts trainings to entrepreneurs to enable them to move beyond self-reliance and provide employment to others."
He urged the candidates to avail benefits of training programme and work towards establishing their own income generating units.
He assured the participants of complete help from the Bank saying that all Bank's Business Units in the district shall provide them the requisite finances for any viable project.
Director institute Mohammad Shafi Ayaz said the institute has imparted training to eight batches comprising of 275 candidates out of which 70 candidates have availed credit facility from various banks.
He informed the audience that the number of applications pouring in for training was much higher than the in-take capacity of the institute.
He further said that institute would soon begin visiting the trained candidates and their units if any as a follow up mechanism.
The trainees expressed satisfaction with contents and procedure of the training programme and described it quite beneficial for them.
