J&K Bank RSETI Budgam, Kulgam conclude training programmes
J&K Bank RSETI, Budgam yesterday concluded the Two-week training program on ‘Mushroom Cultivation', in which candidates from 6 blocks of the district participated. The programme was conducted in collaboration with Sheri-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST-K)
District Development Commissioner, Budgam Muhammad Rafi presided over the valedictory function. Others present on the occassion included IAS Topper Dr. Shah Faisal, Project Officer DRDA Gulzar Ahmad and Cluster Head, J&K Bank Budgam Abdul Hamid Khan.
Speaking on the occasion, DDC Budgam appreciated the work done by RSETI and hoped such training programs would go a long way in helping the unemployed youth to achieve self reliance through self-employment.
Present on the occasion, Dr Shah Faisal observed that the training program would help the candidates to establish their own units for Mushroom Cultivation. Project Officer, DRDA also spoke on the occasion. Cluster Head, JKB, Budgam assured the participants of total support of the Bank whenever required.
Earlier, Director RSETI, Tariq Ali welcomed the guests and informed them about the purpose of such training programs.
The RSETI would come out, he said, with the calendar of trainings for the current year and about 750 youth of the district were scheduled to be trained during this period.
He expressed gratitude to MRTC, SKUAST-K for the technical support they provided for conducting the programme.

Meanwhile, J&k Bank RSETI Kulgam also concluded a 10-days ‘Skill Development Programme' on weaving. Forty Three candidates were imparted training in the programme which was the first one during the new financial year.
Project Officer DRDA Dr. A. U. Tak, Lead Bank Officer G. M. Dar and M. Ashraf from Handlooms Department attended the valedictory function.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Tak hailed the role of JKBRSETI Budgam in imparting training to unemployed youth of the district and assured every type of help to the institute for success.
Lead Bank Officer Kulgam Dar assured the trainees that every type of financial assistance by way of loans shall provided to them for establishing their own business units by banks.
Director, RSETI, Mohammad Shafi Ayaz maintained that many more training programs like Weaving, Sheep Breeding, Poultry, Driving, Dress Designing, Mushroom Cultivation, Photography, Horticulture etc will be conducted during the current financial year.
He added that RSETI is aimed at skill building of prospective small borrowers especially rural unemployed youth belonging to BPL Category. He assured the trainees that the Institute will help them all along to make them self earned.
