J&K Bank RSETI Baramulla begins 8th skill development programme
J&K Bank RSETI Baramulla started its 8th skill development programme on ‘Fashion Designing'. Inaugurating the programme, Project officer DRDA Baramulla, Mohd Maqbool Bhat assured the participants of full support from the department.
Appreciating the role of J&K Bank, he said, "The Bank is visibly at the forefront of creating entrepreneurs that can create wealth for themselves and the society in the longer run."
He expressed his satisfaction over the feedback he received from the trainees of previous batches of the institute. Speaking on the occasion Director RSETI said, "J&K Bank is on its mission to eradicate un-employment from the society by conducting regular training programmes for un-employed youth about various economic activities."
The purpose of these institutes is to create entrepreneurs who can set up their own employment generating units by employing the financial support and counseling provided by bank, he added.
He thanked the Project Officer and other dignitaries for their personnel involvement and promised tem of complete cooperation in creating financial linkages in favour of those willing to establish their own units besides proper follow up and guidance from time to time.
Meanwhile, J&K Bank RSETI Kulgam concluded a ten-day training programme for women on ‘Tilla Work', a kind of hand embroidery. Participated by 25 candidates belonging to block Damhalhanji Pora and Devsar, the programme was sponsored by DRDA Kulgam.
Dr. Akramullah Tak Project Officer DRDA distributed the certificates among participants at the valedictory function.
Hailing the role of JKBRSETI, Kulgam in conducting various skill development training programmes for unemployed youth of the district, he offered credit sponsorship to all the trainees under SGSY.
He said that their department has involved Panchayats in identification and sponsorship of unemployed youth of their areas for getting training from the RSETI so that they start their own income generating units.
Director RSETI Mohammad Shafi Ayaz said that such training programmes were aimed at guiding the unemployed youth in adopting self employment as a better and enlightened career. He said that the RSETI Kulgam had imparted training to 213 candidates till date and near about 45% of them had started their own income generating units.
He thanked the district administration for their support and assistance for conducting these programmes successfully.
Lead Bank Officer, Kulgam G M Dar and Facilitator FLCC Kulgam Abdul Rashid Hakeem were also present at the valedictory function.
