J&K Bank organizes Kissan Credit CardsMelas, distributes 373 KCC
In order to give boost to agriculture sector and to reach out to far flung areas J&K Bank organised awareness cum credit camps for Kissan Credit Card at Arizal, Budgam and Chunduna, Ganderbal.
The at Arizal was organized by the Cluster office of the bank. President and Zonal Head Kashmir (Central) Bashir Ahmad Lone was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Others present on the occasion were Vice President (Lead Bank) Mohammad Sidiq Wani, Cluster Head Budgam Abdul Hamid Khan, Head B.U Arizal Riyaz Ahmad Shoga and a number of beneficiaries of Kissan Credit Card.
President along with Vice President distributed Kissan Credit cards among 173 beneficiaries involving an amount of Rs 1 crore.
Mohammad Sidiq Wani, Vice President, gave detailed backgrounder to the beneficiaries about launching such schemes.
Zonal Head spoke at length about the various schemes available with the bank including those sponsored by the government for the benefit of farmers as well as the unemployed youth.
He stressed upon them to come forward and avail benefits of the tailor made schemes for their overall economic development.
Cluster Head Budgam Abdul Hamid Khan informed the farmers about implementation and benefits of Kissan Credit Card and assured the participants that such awareness cum credit camps would be organized under different schemes in future also.
The farmers & beneficiaries hailed the pro-active approach of the Bank while processing & sanctioning of KCC in a hassle free manner.
Meanwhile, Cluster Ganderbal also organised KCC mela at Chunduna in Ganderbal.
Speaking on the occasion, Bank's Vice President for Kashmir Central Viqar-ul-Mulk Nazki said, "We are always eager to come closer to people and make them aware about various services and products J&K Bank offers including government sponsored schemes, to usher in an era of equitable economic growth and prosperity."
Others present on the occasion included Additional District Development Commissioner Ganderbal Syed Itrat, Bank's Cluster Head Mohammed Amin Khan, Head B.U. Chunduna Mushtaq Ahmad, and Head B.U. Wakura Tariq Ahmad.
Around 200 KCCs were distributed among the farmers on the occasion.
Describing J&K Bank as the partner in peoples' progress, Nazki acknowledged peoples' cooperation saying, "The force behind J&K Bank's growth and prosperity is the people of J&K. Their massive participation has anchored the Bank's growth story beyond gratitude. The relationship is more about mutual trust than transaction."
Stating that KCC is a product that needs to be properly understood by the farming community for better harvesting returns by way of timely finance, he emphasized that the scheme offers credit up to Rs.1 lac without any guarantee, up to Rs.5 lacs with guarantee while mortgage is required for credits exceeding Rs.5.00 lacs.
Additional DC, Ganderbal in his address described KCC as a document that helps farmers meet their immediate and emergency financial requirements.
"KCC can help a farmer in meeting emergency financial requirements like for seed and fertilizer purchasing, tractor rent on account of tilling the lands, etc", he said.
He urged people of avail maximum benefits from the Bank's products and services.
Speaking on the occasion Cluster Head said, "Following Government of India's extension of interest subvention clause of KCC to J&K Bank, we have started a door to door campaign to apprise the farmers about its utility and have already distributed thousands of KCCs to farmers".
Khan also gave a detailed account of the KCC scheme and thanked people for their cooperation with and confidence in J&K Bank.
