J&K Bank organizes awareness camp at Ompora
: Inaugurates new premises at Sumbal
J&K Bank today organised an awareness camp-cum-customer-meet at its Business Unit Ompora in Budgam. The programme was conducted by the Marketing Division of the Bank.
A good number of valuable customers, senior citizens, traders, students and other local residents attended the meeting.
President and Zonal Head Kashmir (Central) Bashir Ahmad Lone presided over the function attended by Marketing Head (Central Zone) Waqar Nazki, Cluster Head Abdul Hamid Khan, President Auqaf Committee Ompora, Director RSETI Tariq Ali and B/U Head M Sidiq.
Welcoming the people B/U Head Tariq Ali thanked the people for sparing their valuable time for the meeting. He gave a brief over-view of various financial schemes of the Bank available for the common man.
Speaking on the occasion, Zonal Head B A Lone said, "J&K Bank is always at the service of common people of the state. The Bank has grown leaps and bounds despite adverse conditions only due to the support and trust of the people. As a result the business turnover of the Bank has crossed 87,000 crores."
He informed the audience that the Bank would open 100 more business units in the state out of which 29 were planned for the Budgam district.
Earlier, Marketing Head, Waqar Nazki spoke about the establishment and aims of the Marketing Division of the Bank. He said, "The Bank has established a separate marketing division to know and understand the requirements of the people better and develop new schemes which suits their needs and aspirations."
Present on the occasion, Director RSETI Budgam informed the participants about the purpose of RSETIs in the state. He asked the unemployed youth to come forward and enroll themselves for skill development programmes.
Later, President Auqaf Committee Ompora thanked the Bank for organizing such programmes which, he said, would go a long way in strengthening the people's relations with the Bank.
Sanctioning letters for 25 DRI cases were also handed over to the beneficiaries on the occasion. The distribution was followed by Q/A session. Cluster Abdul Hamid Khan presented the vote of thanks in the end.
Meanwhile, J&K Bank B/U Sumbal was shifted to its new premises today.
Honourable Speaker of J&K Legislative Assembly Mohammad Akbar Lone, who was the Guest of Honour, inaugurated the new premises amid a good gathering of valuable customers, senior citizens and local residents. J&K Bank Vice President Kashmir North G. Q Shah, Cluster Head Aftab Ahmad Qazi were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion Lone hailed the role of J&K Bank for empowerment of the people and providing employment opportunities to unemployed youth of the state.
He requested for the opening of one more business unit in the main market of Sumbal.
