J&K Bank organises fin lit camp in Baramulla
J&K Bank organised financial literacy camp at Juhama in Baramulla, which was attended by a large number of people from the village and its adjacent areas.
Speaking on the occasion, Facilitator FLCC centre Baramulla said, "The role of FLCC centres was formulating debt restructuring plans for borrowers in distress and recommending the same to formal financial institutions."
The objective was to make people in the rural areas aware of the advantages of being connected to banks and educate them about various financial products of the banks.
He also spoke about the need for budgeting/savings to deal with unexpected emergencies, financial services like plastic cards, RTGS/NEFT etc.
Customer rights, proper end-use of funds, repayment of bank loans on time for better recycling of funds were also discussed for awareness in the camp.
The facilitator also gave awareness about financial inclusion, Business centres, No frill accounts, least one account for one family and benefits of being linked to financial sector.
On the occasion, KCC cards were distributed by the Bank among the farmers.
The Apple Project Manager from J&K Bank spoke about Apple/KCC scheme.
He explained to the audience all the features of the scheme from eligibility, quantum of finance, interest, interest subvention, repayment and other clauses in detail.
Head Business Unit Khoja Bagh Baramulla was also present on the occasion, who spoke about the various products of the Bank like Childcare, Mehandi deposit, Education, Housing and Sahoolat Finance and other schemes in detail.
Meanwhile, FLCC Baramulla also participated in the awareness programme organised by Sheep Husbandry Department Baramulla for sheep breeders of the district held at Sherwani Hall in Baramulla.
