J&K Bank opens EBUs in Reasi and Udhampur

As part of its policy to provide an inclusive and sustainable financial service network in the region, J&K Bank commissioned Easy Banking Units (EBUs) at Zero Morh Talwara in Reasi and Jakhar in Udhampur.

Deputy Commissioner Reasi Indu Kanwal Chib inaugurated the EBU at Zero Morh Talwara while Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Piyush Singla threw open the EBU for general public at Jakhar in presence of the bank’s Zonal Head Jammu (North II) Anand Pal Singh, Cluster Heads Reasi and Udhampur, valuable customers, senior citizens, local businessmen and senior officers of the bank.

DC Reasi thanked the bank for providing the banking services to the unbanked area. While urging the public to avail the world class banking services provided by the Bank, She stressed upon the need to provide an ATM facility at Talwara for public convenience.

DC Udhampur also appreciated the bank for opening the Easy Business Unit in the area besides asking the general public to avail the benefits of the various banking facilities provided at the EBU.

Reaffirming the bank’s commitment to provide banking facilities to people irrespective of their locations and status, the Zonal Head said, “With the inauguration of these EBUs, the bank has facilitated an unhindered access to the inhabitants of the area to its various banking services thereby deepening financial inclusion. The EBUs shall mark the beginning of a brighter and better financial future of these areas.”

The local people hailed the bank’s efforts and expressed their gratitude towards its management for extending banking facilities to the unbanked areas.

The EBUs shall offer a wide gamut of banking services in the areas including cash deposit and cash withdrawal, on-line fund transfer, opening of all types of deposit accounts including time deposits, issuance of cheque books, cheque collection facility, issuance of debit and credit cards and other digital products etc.

Notably, the bank has a total number 67 EBUs serving to financially empower people inhabiting far-off places.
