J&K Bank opens 6 more ATMs outlets in Jammu
Providing High-tech banking service to its customers has always been and shall remain at the core of Bank's policy of productisation and extension of banking and financial services.
This was stated by A.K Mehta, Executive Director of the Bank while dedicating six ATMs for general public in Jammu today. Three ATMs thrown open at Bathindi, Phinter, & Kootah, while similar number of ATM hubs was inaugurated at New University Campus, R.S. Pura & Talab Tillo in presence of Tafazal Hussain and G.A. Regoo, Presidents of the Bank, Zonal Head Jammu Central, Madan Gupta and customers of the Bank.
A.K. Mehta said that Bank's vision is to empower people and develop state's economy which in turn triggers growth and prosperity of the Bank. He further stated that in line with the strategy outlined by Mushtaq Ahmad, Chairman & CEO of the Bank, the bank will play a pivotal role in economic development of the state and synergize efforts in implementing and promoting its programmes aimed at economic development.
Speaking on the occasion, Tafazal Hussain, President of the Bank said that J&K Bank is committed to the development of the state. To make banking services more comfortable and easily available for the people of all the regions, the ATM network across the length & breadth of the state shall be expanded more swiftly. The J&K Bank has envisaged an ambitious business plan for 2011-12 under which ATMs will be installed at all new Business Units in commercial/ residential areas and strategic locations like Tourist Spots/ Bus Stands etc, and the number is to reach 600 by March 2012.
"Technology has brought ease and efficiency in the delivery of banking services and has revolutionized the interface between the bank and its customers through its different services including ATMs" he added. He urged the customers to make use of Bank's hi-tech services through vast network of branches and ATMs.
G.A. Regoo, President, while describing the banking as an economic need of the people of the state asserted that expansion of ATM network into far-flung areas is part of Bank's policy to create state-of-the-art but inclusive service infrastructure for banking and financial needs of its clientele.
Zonal Head of the Bank, Madan Gupta gave a detailed account of various schemes that the Bank has tailored according to the specific needs of different segments of the economy people of the state are engaged in. He also reiterated the Bank's commitment to provide banking and financial services at the doorsteps of people.
The people of these areas along with other dignitaries present on the occasion hailed the efforts of the Bank in bringing world class banking services right upto their doorsteps and wished the Bank for its future endevours.
