As part of its Platinum Jubilee initiative, J&K Bank sponsored and supported Green Marathon in Leh, which was organised by Youth Services and Sports (YSS) Ladakh.
More than three hundred students, distributed in six groups according to their age and gender, participated in the marathon which started from Main Chowk Leh passing through various areas of the district ending near Girls Higher Secondary School and the Bank's Zonal Office.
With students eagerly waiting for the run since early in the morning, Zonal Head J&K Bank Ladakh Mohammad Younus Pattoo along with Executive Councilor Education & Sports LAHDC (Leh) Gh. Abaas Abidi flagged off the run.
Chief Executive Councilor, LAHDC (Leh) Rigzin Spalbar was the Chief Guest at the prize distribution ceremony. Other dignitaries present on the occasion included officials from YSS Ladakh, senior citizens, valuable customers and local residents.
The first three winners of each group were awarded by the Chief Guest, who lauded the role of J&K Bank in the overall economic development of the state.
