J&K Bank financial literacy camps in Kupwara, Anantnag
J&K Bank organised a financial literacy camp at Droochu in Sogam Kupwara, which was attended by a good number of participants.
The Bank's Cluster Head Kupwara Fayaz Ahmad Siddiqui presided over the camp. Facilitator FLCC Kupwara Mohammad Maqbool Shah welcomed the participants and explained to them the importance of savings for prosperous and safe future.
He urged them to open savings and other bank deposit accounts with the banks to avail benefits offered by the financial institutions.
He distributed Kissan Credit cards to the farmers during the camp and emphasized upon the proper utilization of lending by the banks.
People hailed the initiative of the Bank.
Officers from department of Agriculture and Horticulture, Rural Development Department were also present on the occasion besides Lead District Manager (LDM) Kupwara.
FLCC Anantnag conducted another such camp at Government Degree College for Women Anantnag.
The camp on Education Finance was attended by large number of students besides faculty members of the college. FLCC Facilitator G R Kumar gave detailed information to the audience about the education finance scheme and the role of banks in providing hassle free finance. He spoke about the financial products offered by the J and K Bank to the students and general public as well.
Lead District Manager G M Mufti also spoke on the occasion.
Vice principal of the college thanked the Bank for conducting such awareness program.
