J&K Bank, state's only listed company, was today feliciated by The Institute of Objective Studies, New Delhi for its remarkable contribution towards knowledge development and peace in the J&K state.
Mr. Tafazal Hussain, Bank's President & Chief Strategist received the award alongwith a certificate and a shawl on behalf of Mr Mushtaq Ahmad, Chairman & CEO, J&K Bank during the first day of the three day International Conference on "Interest Free Institution Mechanism in Banking/ Insurance", organized by Institute of Objective Studies (IOS), New Delhi in collaboration with University of Kashmir here at Convocation Complex, University of Kashmir.
Deputy Chairman Rajya Sabha, K. Rehman Khan presented the award.
The Bank received acclaims and appreciations for its uninterrupted growth, geographically relevant and professionally developed financial solutions during the course of the high profile conference.
Speaking on the occasion, Tafazal Hussain outlined the Bank's ambitious plan to cross the impressive Rs.1 lakh crore business and net profit of Rs.1000 crores by March 31, 2013, the Bank's Platinum Jubilee year. "We are committed to serve the people through a productive mix of fruitful financial intervention, massive branch and ATM network, highly customized products, delightful service delivery and innovative means of financial lietracy and credit counselling", Tafazal said.
