J&K Bank extends Apple Project to Kulgam
With a view to boost agricultural economy of the state, J&K Bank extended its model Apple Project to District Kulgam.A team of Apple Project Managers headed by Mushtaq Ahmad Mir, Cluster Head Kulgam launched the project by organizing awareness camps at village Yaripora, Homshalibugh and Arrah Kulgam in which apple growers participated in large numbers.
Speaking on the occasion, Cluster Head said, "The bank will provide comprehensive financial support for enhancing the apple production which includes necessary logistic support with respect to modern cultivation and farming techniques during development of orchards, post harvest requirements that include storage and marketing of the apple produce."
He further informed the growers that the bank has made the apple advance scheme effective and hassle free and requested them to come forward and avail the incentives and the benefits offered in J&K Bank Apple Advance scheme.
The Bank officials apprised the participants about the objectives of the Apple Project and the incentives/benefits like interest subvention offered under the scheme.
Scores of cases were received from apple growers and processed on spot for sanction.
