J&K Bank dedicates 4 more ATMs to South Kashmir
Committed to improve banking infrastructure in South Kashmir especially during the ongoing holy days of Milad celebrations, J&K Bank dedicated four more ATM facilities to people today. While ATMs in Sadikabad and Nai Basti areas of Anantnag were jointly inaugurated by Dr Mehboob Beg, Member of Parliament and S Jaipal Singh, District Development Commissioner, Anantnag in presence of Parvez Ahmad, Bank's President & Secretary, ATMs in Imam Sahib, Shopian and Khudwani, Kulgam were inaugurated by Dr M.S Sood, DDC Shopian and Farooq Ahmed Khan, DDC Kulgam respectively.
Besides huge presence of customers, these funtions were attended by Bank's Zonal Head Mohammad Afzal Khan, cluster heads Ghulam Mohiuddion Rather, Manzoor Suhawardi, Mohad Yousuf Dhobi and Abdul Rashid Hakim. Mehboob Beig in his address at Dak Bunglow, Anantnag described J&K Bank as an institution of inspiration and appreciated commitment, dedication and professionalism of Bank's employees in making J&K Bank a pride success story of the state. "Bank management, its officers and above all the lower rung staff who, despite their tremendous contribution hitherto remained unsung heroes, deserve a great credit and applause", Beg said.
Endorsing the demand of traders and industrialists of Anantnag, Dr Beg advocated a separate Zonal Office for Anantnag and Kulgam, besides, urging for more ATM facilities in these districts.
Asking the youth to shun their passion for government jobs, Beg urged the youth to take full benefit of State Government's recently launched Sher-i-Kashmir Employment Welfare Programme "which is available to unemployed youth with whooping 35% subsidy and no guarantee up to the amounts of Rs.25 lakhs".
Stating that J&K Bank is an asset of the J&K and as such people of the state have an unparallel association with and expectation from this Bank, Jaipal Singh, DDC Anantnag in his speech emphasized on the need to jointly work and mutually cooperate to see a prosperous and highly developed J&K state becoming a reality.
Dr M S Sood, DDC Shopian after inaugurating the ATM at Imam Sahib, Shopian while speaking to the gathering of customers appreciated the installation of ATM facility to people of Imam Sahib. Urging people to Bank with J&K Bank with the spirit that it is their own bank, Sood described J&K Bank as an asset, a big brother and its employees as organs of an ordinary resident of J&K. "I must acknowledge that in the contemporary times when social trust has seen deadly tremors, peoples' trust in J&K Bank has all along been showing commendable levels of enhancement", he added.
Describing J&K Bank as the backbone of state's economy, Farooq Ahmed Khan, DDC Kulgam urged the Bank's customers to reciprocate Bank's cooperation and support by doing their entire business with the J&K Bank. "Be a part of this success story, enjoy their highly customized products and services to improve your lives", he added.
Speaking on these occasions Parvez Ahmad, Bank's President & Secretary threw extensive light on J&K Bank's J&K centric business strategy. "It is your Bank; we are just its custodians. Our vision is to facilitate the empowerment of people and development of the state of J&K. We are conscious of our responsibility and that is why we have devised highly customized and hassle-free products catering to every sector of state's economy like Saffron, Apple, Giri, Khatamband, Craft Development, Dastkari etc.", he said.
Stating that the youth of J&K have a special role to play in changing the financial landscape of the state, Parvez asked the youth to be responsible come forward with confidence.
Maintaining that J&K Bank was for overall development of the state, Parvez said, "We don't want to restrict peoples' growth and prosperity to cities and towns only but we want to reach with our products and services to hitherto unbanked, inaccessible areas and underprivileged sections of the society across all regions of the state".
Zonal Head Mohammed Afzal Khan in his speeches sought peoples' cooperation in taking J&K sate, its people and J&K Bank to newer heights.
