J&K Bank dedicates 3 more branches to people
Extending world class banking services to the people of far flung areas, J&K Bank has put into service three more business units at Nagam in district Budgam and Jakyas and Khara in district Doda. Abdul Hamid Banday, Zonal Head Kashmir Central did the honours today at Nagam amid an impressive gathering of locals and bank officials.
Speaking on the occasion, Banday stated that the J&K Bank was firmly committed to ensure that its customers get world class banking facilities at their door steps. "We constantly strive for bringing in revolutionary changes in delivery channels for customer convenience. A wide range of customized products coupled with extensive technology support is aimed at total customer delight and empowerment", he said.
Expressing gratitude to the people for showing inexorable confidence in the Bank, Banday reiterated the Bank's commitment to reinforce this confidence by continuing to serve its customers ‘with the same passion'.
Mazoor Ahmed, Bank's Cluster Head while presenting vote of thanks appreciated the local support and their gratitude for the Bank's management, especially its Chairman.
Meanwhile, the business units at Jakyas and Kahra in district Doda were inaugurated by Shabir Ahmed Keen, SDM Gandoh Balessa and Vagish Chander, Bank's Zonal Head for Jammu North respectively.
SDM Gandoh in his address thanked the Bank management for opening the business unit at Jakyas and congratulated the locals for having world class banking services available at their door steps.
He urged the people to take full advantage of these facilities so that their economic profile witnesses a steady rise. Vagish Chander, Bank's Zonal Head in his address at both the places asserted that the bank was committed to reach out to common people and provide better services through latest technology.
"The pensioners, aged, women, social security beneficaries and other account holders shall not have to travel long distances now for they will get best banking services in these business units that have been opened in their areas. This is a step forward to bring people, at grass-root level, under the ambit of banking services."
He also urged the people to avail the benefits of various deposit and advance schemes "that the bank has tailored according to your specific personal and economic needs".
With these two BU's the number of Bank's Business Units in the district has now reached to 16.
