To review achievements under Annual District Credit Plan 2015-16, J&K Bank conducted District Level Review Committee meeting of Baramulla at Dak Bungalow Baramulla, which was chaired by Additional DC Bashir Ahmad Khan. The Meeting was also attended by representatives of RBI, Nabard, Banks and Line Departments.
Lead District Manager (LDM) Baramulla informed the house that under District Credit Plan 2015-16, Baramulla has recorded an achievement of 22.11% as on June 30, 2015.
He said that Rs.414.15 Crore was disbursed among 15958 beneficiaries under various schemes.
The house was informed that under priority sector advances the district had achieved a growth of 30.14% on YoY basis, while as the YoY growth in agricuture sector was 47.65%.
The CD ratio of the district has reached to 76.44 %.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman DLRC Bashir Ahmad Khan advised all the banks and the sponsoring agencies to work with cooperation to achieve the goals and targets of development besides generation of employment in the district.
He also directed all Line Departments and Banks to conduct awareness programmes at Village/block levels to generate proper awareness among the people.
Shopian Camps
The bank’s Financial Literacy and Credit Counseling centre Shopian organised an awareness camp in association with Lead Bank Office at Government Higher Secondary School Imamsahib Shopian wherein more than 200 students of higher classes and staff members participted.
Speaking on the occasion, Facillitator FLCC M A Jan presented full description of social security schemes namely PMJJBY, PMSBY and APY and their long term benefits for the public.
He said, “These schemes are of vital benefit for poor and low income people.”
In addition to the above schemes, the audience was educated about PMJDY and other bank schemes and advances.
Cluster Head Shopian Mohammad Shafi Salroo and Director RSETI Shopian Muzaffar Ahmad Khan also spoke on the occasion.
Principal GHSS Immamsahib Ab Qayoom hailed the programme and placed on record the words of gratitude towards the bank and its management.
Jammu Camp
The bank’s Ghou Manhasn business unit in Jammu organized a financial literacy camp at village Rathuwa in Ghou Manhasan of Block Marh.
Alarge number of people belonging to the area participated in the camp including the senior citizens and other local respectables.
Head B.U Mahesh Shivgotra educated the people about the various schemes that the bank has tailored to meet the requirements of the rural people for their financial empowerment besides other facilities for their convenience at their door step.
