J&K Bank conducts Rajouri DLRC/DCC Meet

To review the progress achieved by the banks and the line departments under Annual District Credit Plan 2021-22 District Development Commissioner (DDC) Rajouri, Vikas Kundal (IAS) today chaired the District Level Review Committee/District Consultative Committee (DLRC/DCC) meeting in Rajouri. Organised by the Lead Bank Office Rajouri the meeting was attended by LDM Rajouri Jyoti Prakash, officers of different banks and representatives of various line departments of the district.

Speaking on the occasion, LDM Rajouri informed the house that Banks have disbursed Rs 456.45 Cr under priority sector lending against the target of Rs 875 Cr thereby achieving 52% of the target in financial terms.

While taking review, Chairman DLRC/DCC urged the participants to make additional efforts to increase the CD Ratio of the district to 50% by the end of current financial year. Emphasizing upon the banks and line department to work in close coordination to achieve the targets under priority sector, he directed the participants to work for effective implementation of self-employment generation schemes by sorting out the issues in the process of disbursement of loans.
Stressing upon the need to increase financial literacy in the district, DDC directed the banks to increase the frequency of the camps and mega camps in collaboration with the line departments. He also took serious note of poor performance of some banks in the district and directed them to organize more awareness camps to increase the credit offtake in the priority sector.

Regarding the social security schemes, the DDC said that all the Job Card Holders, KCC holders, labour card holders, ASHAs and Anganwari workers would be linked with the insurance schemes for their benefit. Meanwhile, the officers of RSETI Rajouri were directed to identify targeted groups across the district and conduct different vocational training courses.
