J&K Bank conducts huge recruitment test.<br> <i>Over 30,000 appeared for the Relationship Executive exam</i>
J&K Bank, the premier financial institution of Jammu and Kashmir, today conducted written test for the posts of Relationship Executives (RE) at 92 centres set up in Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh region.
Over 30,000 candidates appeared for the examination held under the auspices of Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS). 35,000 aspirants had applied for the said posts.
Various control rooms were established across the state for smooth and efficient conduct of the test. Special teams constituted by the Bank visited examination centres throughout the duration of test.
Chairman and CEO Mushtaq Ahmad also visited some of the centres and expressed satisfaction over the smooth conduct of the examination.
"It is a moment of elation for us to see the Bank staff organizing this grand exercise so efficiently and with such a sense of collective responsibility", he said.
Meanwhile, extending gratitude to all those who contributed to make the day possible, Bank's President HRD Abdul Rauf Bhat said, "We are grateful to all the educational institutions, their staff, state police and every individual who made this valuable exercise possible."
He thanked IBPS and its observers for their support.
We hope the exercise will culminate in further enrichment of our diversely talented HR, he added.
The recruitment drive is part of the Bank's consolidation process following its aggressive expansion policy while inching closer to its FY-13 targets i.e. one lac crore business and one thousand crore profit.
The candidates were satisfied with the kind of arrangements made by the Bank at their test venues.
Notably, this was the first recruitment drive conducted in the state of J&K wherein everything related to registration process, issuance of roll number slips and other information related to the examination was made available on-line.
