J&K Bank conducts camp in Pulwama, KCC Mela in Khaag
J&K Bank organised an awareness camp at Govt. Degree College (women) Pulwama which was attended by more than 150 girl students, Principal, faculty and staff of the college.
The programme was conducted by Financial Literacy and Credit Counseling Centre (FLCC) Pulwama.
The Bank's Zonal Head (South) Mushtaq Ahmad Mir inaugurated the camp.
Speaking on the occasion, he impressed upon the students and college staff to open accounts in any of the B.U's of the Bank.
Facilitator of the centre M S Parray gave an overview of the deposit schemes and the e-banking products of the banks.
He also spoke about important features of the Bank's Education, Laptop /PC and Scooty Finance schemes.
Director RSETI Pulwama apprised the audience about the purpose of institute and said that it was meant to impart trainings to the rural entrepreneurs including girl students interested in starting their own business ventures.
Zonal Coordinator Apple Finance project explained the features of Bank's Apple finance scheme.
The College staff appreciated the efforts of the Bank.
Meanwhile, the Bank organized a KCC Mela at Government Higher Secondary School Khaag.
The mela was conducted by Cluster IV Budgam in collaboration with B/U Khaag.
The Bank's President and Zonal Head Bashir Ahmad Lone was the Chief Guest accompanied by Cluster Head Budgam Abdul Hamid Khan.
During the mela 449 cases involving an amount of Rs 2.75 crore were distributed among the beneficiaries.
Speaking on the occasion, Zonal Head said, "The Bank shall continue to extend all the possible financial help to the agriculture sector and all its allied industries so that the farmers across the state are really empowered to claim their due in the development of the state."
That's why we are trying to reach out to the farmers across the state with all our resources to empower them and improve their socio-economic conditions, he added.
Cluster Head Budgam highlighted the features of the scheme and initiatives taken by the Bank for eradication of unemployment & upliftment of economically down trodden sections in the state especially in district Budgam.
On the occasion, the local participants and beneficiaries hailed the Bank's pro-active approach.
