J&K Bank commissions ATM in Sagam, conducts fin lit camp at Tral
J&K Bank today commissioned an ATM at Sagam in Islamabad. Zonal Head Kashmir (South) Mushtaq Ahmad Mir inaugurated the ATM in presence of Cluster Head Zaffar Ahmad Makhdoomi, a large number of valuable customers of the bank and respectable citizens of the area.
Speaking on the occasion, Zonal Head talked about the Bank's progress in implementation of Information Technology.
He assured the public that the Bank is determined to provide the people world class banking facilities right at their door-step.
Many respectable citizens of the area lauded the role of the bank in the economic development of the State.
It is 33rd ATM of the bank in the district.
Meanwhile, the Bank conducted an awareness camp on financial literacy with focus on establishing sheep rearing units in Town Hall at Tral. The camp was organised in collaboration with District Sheep Husbandry department, Pulwama. More than 60 sheep breeders hailing from the Tral area participated in the awareness camp.
Lead District Manager (LDM) Pulwama, District Sheep Husbandry Officer (DSHO) Pulwama, staff, Heads of all Business Unit's operating in the area and some Insurance Officers also attended the programme.
Earlier, FLCC Facilitator explained the benefits of savings with the banks and impressed upon the participants to start availing benefits of the different schemes of banks.
Officers of various banks operating in Tral town discussed the sheep rearing financing schemes of their own banks.
Some breeders complained about the summary rejection and delayed settlement of sheep insurance claims by the Insurance Company.
Meanwhile, J&K Bank RSETI Baramulla began a training course on ‘Cutting, Tailoring and Fashion designing' in Sopore town. Project Officer DRDA Baramulla Mohd Maqbool Bhat inaugurated the 4-week training programme in presence of BDO Sopore Ms Kundan Kour who was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Director RSETI Baramulla Riaz Ahmad Mir was also present on the occasion.
Dr. Yaseen from a local NGO also spoke on the occasion and hailed the training methodology adopted by RSETI.
