JK Bank chairman launches BAGICL's first online policy issuance facility
J&K Bank Chairman and CEO Mr. Mushtaq Ahmad today issued the first online insurance policy, through the first-ever on-line policy issuance facility launched in the country, by the Bajaj-Allianz General Insurance Corporation Ltd (BAGICL).
He did the honours in presence of MD& CEO BAGICL Mr. Hemant Koul, its Chief Marketing Officer, Mr. Tapan Singhel besides Executive Director J&K Bank Mr. A K Mehta, Executive President Mr. Ajit Singh, President Mr. Tafazal Hussein, and other Executives of the two organizations.
The facility was launched in an impressive function held at Grand Lalit (Palace) Srinagar.
Notably, the facility is first of its kind in the county and aims to prevent even the possibility of delays in delivery of policy documents. The facility is expected to provide the company edge over its competitors and result in customer delight.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman said, "Customer convenience is the fundamental concern for J&K Bank. In this regard, the relationship with Bajaj-Allianz is a matter of privilege and has withstood the tests of both time and mutual business. Today we view this relation with satisfaction".
However, we have some demands from the local traders regarding insurance products which we would soon take up with Bajaj-Allianz and expect positive response, as has been so far, from the company, he added.
Appreciating the role of J&K Bank, especially its successful operations without glamour and hype, Mr. Hemant Koul, MD & CEO, BAGICL said, "Ours is the first Insurance Company in India to start online issuance of Motor and travel Insurance Policy".
He further said, "And we see it as a great privilege for us that this facility is being started from our most trusted and tested organization i.e. J&K Bank. Having a business relationship with J&K Bank is matter of great pride for us and we highly appreciate the kind of support given by the Bank".
Earlier, welcoming the Chairman and other top Executives of the bank, Mr. Tapan Singhel Chief Marketing Officer Bajaj-Allianz said, "Bajaj Allianz is the largest General Insurance Company having tie-ups with 157 Banks including 26 major banks. However, the seed of these Tie-ups in India is J&K Bank. We had the first tie-up in India with J&K Bank in 2002".
We highly value and appreciate the support provided by J&K Bank, he added. Aijaz Ahmad Khan, Area Manager and national coordinator, BAGICL, presented the vote of thanks.
