J&K Bank celebrates Lohri with festive spirit in Jammu
J&K Bank today celebrated Lohri – the social and cultural festival that involves bonfires, traditional dances and festive foods – at its Zonal Office in Jammu.
Led by the Bank’s Executive Director Sudhir Gupta, the General Managers Ashutosh Sareen, Narjay Gupta, Sunit Kumar and Anand Pal Singh lit the customary bonfire within the premises in presence of senior officers and other staff members. Symbolizing gratitude and new beginnings, participants gathered around taking ritualistic turns around the bonfire.
Traditional treats like peanuts, popcorn and snacks added flavour to the celebration as participants rejoiced in this cherished festival that marks the end of winter and the welcoming of warmth with beginning of sun’s journey towards the northern hemisphere.
