J&K Bank today organized a ‘Financial Literacy cum Career Counseling Camp' on Education Loan Scheme here at Govt. Boys Hr. Secondary School Shopian in collaboration with District Employment Office.
The Camp specially focused on students from 12th standard who were made aware about the various career options available to them after 12th as well as the financial assistance available to keen students under the J&K Bank Education Finance.
Addressing the gathering, Lead Bank Officer, G. R. Kumar informed the students about various features of the J&K Bank Education Finance and asked them to aim for higher and bigger goals in their lives.
He assured them of full cooperation and assistance from the bank by way of financing their higher education dreams.
The Additional District Development Commissioner, A. U. Simnani in his special address made an appeal to the students to work hard and aspire for excellence in their lives. He asked them to take advantage of the education schemes of the bank for furthering their career goals.
Present on the occasion, Assistant Director Employment asked the students to think of becoming employers rather than running after fewer government jobs.
The principal of the Institution thanked the bank for conducting the programme in his school and requested for continuing such programs in other schools of the district. Various lecturers of the institution and senior government functionaries also spoke on the occasion.
The camp was conducted under the Aegis of Financial Literacy and Credit Counseling Centre, Lead Bank Pulwama.
