J&K Bank accords warm send off to retiring officers
J&K Bank accorded a warm send off to ten officers of the bank on attaining the age of superannuation here today.
The retirees include Senior Executive Managers Ghulam Rasool Hajam, Ghulam Rasool Malik and Vinod Kumar, Executive Managers Rafiq Ahmad and Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat, Senior Executives Subhash Chandra Sharma, Inder Prakash and Kuldip Singh, Executive, Sukhdev Singh Bandrial and Associate Executive Ghulam Nabi Kumar.
After putting in long stints, spread over more than 35 years, the retiring officials said that they were leaving the organization with a great sense of satisfaction and contentment.
Mushtaq Ahmad, Chairman & CEO while hailing the services of the retiring officers said, "Their services and contribution to the J&K Bank's growth shall always be remembered and respected. They may be retiring from the active services of the bank but they shall continue to be the members of J&K Bank's extended family. Most of these officers have joined the Bank when its total deposits were mere Rs.31 crores and advances just Rs.14 crores while the branch strength was just 70. Today, when they are leaving, the deposits of the bank stand at over Rs.47000 crore, advances at over Rs.28000 crore and the branch network rose to 558."
The profit of the bank during the said span of time reached over Rs.615 crore, he added.
Meanwhile, Parvez Ahmad, Bank's Executive President described the contribution of retiting officers as exemplary. "J&K Bank was not always what it is today. Officers like the ones we are bidding aduie today have contributed with their blood and sweat and high level of dedication, devotion and commitment to help it achieve heights of excellence. Their services shall always be valued and held in high esteem", he said during a simple but impressive function held at corporate headquarters to accord warm send off to retiring Executive Manager Mushtaq Bhat.
Others present on the occasion included Meera Jamwal, Bank's President, M. Y. Khosa, Vice President and other senior officers of the bank.
