Chairman J&K Bank inaugurates PNB Metlife Branch <br/> <i>Our customer service is aimed at customer satisfaction: Mushtaq Ahmad</i></br/>

This was stated by Mushtaq Ahmad, Chairman & CEO, J&K Bank at the inauguration of the PNB MetLife's full fledged Srinagar branch, in presence of Tarun Chugh, Managing Director & CEO, PNB MetLife. Others present on the ocassion included J&K Bank's Senior Presidents R.K Shah and Abdul Rauf Bhat and J&K Bank President P K Tickoo and Bank's Vice President Abdul Rashid Shigan.
Terming the services sector as highly sensitive, Chairman said that approach to business should not be guided only by commercial interests. "We are dealing with human beings, so our dealings have to be humble, honest, reliable and credible as people judge us more through the value of our relationship than through the dividends to their investment", he elaborated.
He described the J&K Bank-PNB MetLife relationship as a strategic alliance to create "a shared value for all the stakeholders at the centre of which are the customers".
"Our relations have only strengthened since we joined hands in April, 2001. The very idea of the partnership has been laid on the basic premise of facilitating better products and services to our valuable customers across the country", he added.
Speaking on the occasion, Tarun Chugh said that PNB MetLife has taken major steps to come closer to the customers. "There have been some mistakes in the past but we have learned from those mistakes and are taking a lot of initiatives to get closer and closer to our customers", he said.
Stating that J&K Bank has been a founding promoter of MetLife and that it has contributed towards company's immense success in the J&K state, Chugh revealed, "Around 10% of MetLife's total business comes from J&K state. We are number one private insurance player in the state and there seems to be no reason that we don't become, after outperforming LIC, number one insurance seller in the J&K".
