Agri-Minister inaugurates JK Bank's state-of-the-art premises at Kunzar
People of Kunzar, Tangmarg felt jubilant today when J&K Bank made its new state-of-the-art Branch premises operational here. The new premises is quite spacious and designed with a view to make the delivery of services comfortable for the valuable customers of Bank.
Minister of Agriculture Ghulam Hassan Mir did the honours in presence of J&K Bank President, Strategy and Business Development (S&BD) Tafazal Hussain. The main public function after the inauguration, which was attended by people from all walks of life, was conducted at the Town hall Kunzar.
Speaking on the occasion, Mir hailed the role of J&K Bank in providing state-of-the-art banking services and other facilities to the people of state especially in rural and distant places. He said that J&K Bank has from time to time introduced a number of schemes to extend credit in different sectors of economy.
He, however, desired that the Bank should come out with innovative financial solutions to the genuine needs of the people especially for those associated with Agriculture and allied sectors.
Minister praised the efforts of Branch Kunzar for being able to expand its coverage and reach to the people and earn fame among residents of the area.
He appreciated the recent initiative of the Bank in segregating social services and business services in various branches and termed it as a milestone.
This will, he said, provide an opportunity to Bank officials to serve and guide their customers to extend services hassle free and with speed. B.U Kunzar will be one such branch to extend segregated services to the people.
Urging the people to be responsible while repaying their finances, Mir said, "Banking lies at the center of economic upliftment of a society, so people must exhibit sense of duty towards the financial and banking institution and repay their finances responsibly once they avail such world class services from the Bank."
J&K Bank president Tafazal Hussain also spoke on the occasion and expressed his gratitude to the gathering for their ever-growing support to the Bank.
Responding to the minister's remarks on introduction of innovative products and segregation of social services from general banking services he said, "We have recently re-launched Apple Advance Scheme, which is a comprehensive financial package for all concerned. More innovative financial products shall be designed for the benefit of people." He further stated that the process of segregation would make a qualitative difference in the delivery of services at the Banks' Business Units and would prove to be a major relief for weaker sections of society like old age pensioners, NREGA and other social security beneficiaries.
Tafazal said that the bank would continue to provide world class banking services and other related high-tech facilities to the people of all regions in the state besides raising the basic financial and banking awareness among the populace.
He assured the gathering that interactive sessions with customers shall be conducted to meet the expectations of the people and to resolve customer issues.
Earlier, Zonal Head (North Kashmir) Nazir Ahamd Parimoo gave a detailed overview of the Bank's performance in the zone especially in Block Kunzar and Tangmarg. He thanked people of the area for their whole hearted support to the bank and its programmes.
People of the area hailed the conduct and demeanor of Branch Head Ajaz Ahmad Bhat and the staff in helping them to avail the services and facilities of the Bank.
Also present on the occasion were J&K Bank Vice President Corporate Communications Department (CCD) Khursheed A Pandit, Cluster Head Ghulam Rasool and other Bank officials.
