J&K Bank inaugurates ATM in Anantnag, concludes training program in Bandipore, Kulgam
J&K Bank commissioned an ATM at Ashajipora on Saturday, which is 34th such machine in Anantnag, amid large number of valuable customers of the bank and respectable citizens of the area.
District Development Commissioner Farooq Ahmad Shah inaugurated the ATM in presence of Bank's Zonal Head Mushtaq Ahmad Mir, Cluster Head, Zaffar Ahmad Makhdoomi, Lead District Manager Mufti and SSP Anantnag R K Jalla.
Speaking on the occasion DDC Anantnag hailed the efforts of Bank in creating a wide network of ATMs in the district.
He also lauded the Bank for its role in the implementation of district Credit Plan that envisages progress for unemployed youth under various government sponsored programs.
He impressed upon the youth of the area to avail the benefits of credit linked employment schemes.
The Bank's Zonal Head stated that the Bank was committed to reach every nook and corner of the J&K with state-of-the-art technology and world class banking facilities.
Cluster Head presented the vote of thanks.
Also the Bank distributed 3500 Kissan Credit Cards at Kokernag in a function presided over by the DDC Anantnag.
While distributing Kissan credit cards, DDC appreciated the Bank for being pro-active in agricultural lending in the district.
Zonal Head urged the people of the area to avail the benefits o f the Bank's services and schemes designed to improve their economic well-being.
Meanwhile, J&K Bank RSETI Bandipore concluded a 10-day skill development program in ‘Fashion Designing' wherein 25 students were imparted the requisite skills.
Having been assured of handholding for two years by the RSETI they agreed to start their own independent units in groups.
RSETI Director M Fayaz in his concluding message explained the importance of RSETI's in motivating the youth to start their own enterprises in order to generate employment for themselves and creating employment opportunities for others instead of looking for government jobs.
RSETI Kulgam also concluded a 3-week training programme in ‘Fashion Designing' in which 35 candidates sponsored by DRDA through various Panchayats were imparted training.
L.B.O. Kulgam G M Dar distributed the certificates among participants at the valedictory function. He asked the trainees to take any financial help from banks for establishment of their income generating units.
Director RSETI Mohammad Shafi Ayaz informed the trainees about a special credit scheme launched by the Bank namely J&K Bank Vocational Education & Training Financial Scheme.
The scheme, he said, was meant for those unemployed youth who belong to drop out school/college category.
He urged the trainees to avail benefits of the scheme meant for their empowerment.
